Texas A&M Loses Wide Receiver Evan Stewart To Transfer Portal

Texas A&M’s woes continue as another former five-star recruit from their 2022 class, wide receiver Evan Stewart, has entered the transfer portal. Stewart, who was ranked as the No. 13 prospect overall in the 2022 class, follows in the footsteps of fellow five-stars Walter Nolen and LT Overton from the same recruiting cycle, who have also left the program. This development marks the eighth ESPN 300 commitment from the 2022 class that the Aggies have lost.

Stewart made an impact as a true freshman during the 2022 season, earning a spot on the All-SEC freshman team. He showcased his skills with 53 receptions for 649 yards and two touchdowns. In 2023, Stewart continued to shine, leading the team in touchdown receptions with four and amassing 514 yards on 38 receptions.

With two years of eligibility remaining, Evan Stewart becomes the 15th player from Texas A&M to enter the transfer portal this offseason, adding to the challenges facing the Aggies as they navigate their football program’s future.
