Stunning Developments Out Of 49ers Camp Mean Trouble For Everyone

San Francisco 49ers star quarterback Brock Purdy has been spectacular throughout his first two NFL seasons, guiding the team to the NFC Championship Game as a rookie and then to Super Bowl LVIII in his second year.

As he enters his third season, Purdy is showing signs of even greater growth and leadership, according to teammate George Kittle.

In a recent interview with KNBR, the star tight end praised Purdy for his increased confidence and command of the team’s offensive scheme.

“I feel like he’s just more comfortable with the offense,” Kittle said, “He seems very comfortable with it, and he seems like he’s taking it and making it his offense.

“Just his confidence in the pocket, throwing the ball, telling guys, ‘Hey, you need to do this. You need to push your route depth here. Yeah, you need to run out of it.’

Kittle highlighted Purdy’s assertiveness in guiding the offense, noting that the young quarterback is not shy about instructing his teammates on route depths and execution.

“He just has this confidence, and he just has this, like, ‘This is my job.’ And it’s not something that – I want to say you’re always fighting for your job, but he’s like, ‘I’m making this job better. I’m getting better while I’m out here.’”

Purdy’s mindset and dedication to excellence have impressed Kittle, who appreciates the quarterback’s unwavering focus during practices.

“I think he said it, too. He was like, ‘I want to be great every single day.’ You can see that mindset in him,” Kittle continued.

“He is dialed in and just locked in every single rep. And I just appreciate someone like that because he’s just getting better.”

Purdy’s 2023 season statistics reflect his remarkable performance.

He threw for 4,280 yards, 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while leading the league in several key metrics, including passer rating (113.0) and yards per attempt (9.6).

The pain of last season’s heartbreaking loss in the Super Bowl will undoubtedly serve as extra motivation for Purdy, Kittle and the entire team.

Is this the year they finally get over the hump and hoist the Lombardi???
