Star Georgia Bulldog Arrested

The eventful (in a bad way) off-season for the Georgia Bulldogs continued as news dropped that their All-SEC linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson was arrested on misdemeanor racing and reckless driving charges.

According to ESPN, the incident occurred on January 10th, the day after Georgia’s 65-7 romping of TCU in the national championship game.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Dumas-Johnson this past Tuesday after a police investigation confirmed he was driving in a “reckless manner at high speeds (and) fled the area upon sign of the officer.”

The University of Georgia released the following statement on the matter…

“We are aware of a report relating to a January 10 incident on College Station Road involving one of our student-athletes. The alleged conduct does not reflect our program’s values or the high standards we have established. As this is an open matter involving a student, we are not able to provide any additional information at this time and will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement.”

Dumas-Johnson was the second leading tackler on the Bulldogs and is considered one of the best defensive players in the country.

The college football world reacted to the disturbing news…
