Star Alabama Player In MAJOR Trouble After Arrest

One of Alabama’s prized 2023 recruits is in big trouble.

Defensive back Tony Mitchell was arrested in Florida and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and/or deliver.

During a search of his vehicle, police also found a loaded handgun and a large amount of cash.

No photo description available.

The gun reportedly belonged to Mitchell’s friend and passenger, Christophere Lewis.

Lewis also got hit with a gun charge for carrying a concealed firearm without a permit.

They were booked at Holmes County Jail in Florida and no further details are known at this time.

The Crimson Tide begin spring practice next week. Mitchell was expected to compete for a starting safety spot.

It will be extremely interesting to see what Nick Saban has to say (and do) about his arrest…

The college football world reacted to the disappointing news on social media…

Tony Mitchell got arrested? Just doesn’t make sense, these guys have so much future in front of them…”

“Another character miss…gotta get that place straightened up.”

“What the hell is going on with Alabama athletes?”

“Come on Tony don’t mess all your hardwork up you can do that shit after your career.”

“That word EXPECTED is a carrying a LOT of weight right now lol…. If this dude doesn’t get suspended from team for this, its seriously time for Saban to go.”

“Saban will keep him on the team. His response will be something like this. Should I kick him off the team and possibly push him further down this path, or keep him on and give him the help and structure he needs to become a good citizen.”

“Tony Mitchell support system so trash. Sad story.”
