Saquon Barkley’s Massive Following Of One Team On Social Media Leads Fans To Believe It’s A LOCK He’s Heading There … Is It Going To Happen??

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is one of the most popular players in the entire NFL.

However, his career hasn’t gone according to plan after being drafted second overall by Big Blue general manager (at the time) Dave Gettleman.

Injuries and offensive line struggles have held Barkley back from becoming the “Gold Jacket Guy” that Gettleman guaranteed he’d be coming out of Penn State.

To his credit, Barkley never complained and has been nothing but a loyal soldier through all the troubles and dysfunction at the Meadowlands.

Having said that, Barkley’s days in a Giants uniform are most likely over.

With Big Blue in rebuilding mode and Barkley at 27-years-old (going on 37), it would be a surprise if Barkley and new general manager Joe Schoen are able to work a deal out to each side’s liking.

The Giants could once again franchise-tag Barkley, but they reportedly won’t be doing that.

As one of the faces of the league, many fans are curious where Barkley’s next stop will be.

After all, he does have multiple years of high-level football ahead of him, especially if he’s able to play behind a competent offensive line for a change.

Interestingly, Barkley recently followed a few accounts on social media that raised some eyebrows to say the least…

Barkley began following C.J. Stroud, J.J. Watt, Tank Dell, Nico Collins and Brevin Jordan on Instagram, leading many to think he may ultimately be heading to Houston to play for the Texans.

DeMeco Ryans’ team is way ahead of schedule thanks to the emerge of Stroud who had a phenomenal rookie season.

It’s hard to consider Houston a TRUE Super Bowl contender at the moment, but with a few key additions, you never know…

With their young core of stars to go along with the likable Ryans and a ton of cap space, Barkley may view the Texans as a perfect fit as he hits free agency.

What do you think of Barkley potentially joining Houston?

As weird as it would be to see him wearing a different shade of blue, it does actually seem like a pretty damn good fit.

However, how much does he truly have left in the tank?

Could he actually help make the Texans legitimate Super Bowl contenders???
