Saints Release Cameron Dantzler

The New Orleans Saints made a roster move on Monday, waiving cornerback Cameron Dantzler. Dantzler’s journey this season has seen him move between the practice squad and the active roster, with limited playing time. Despite being on the team, he hasn’t seen game action since October 1.

Throughout the season, Dantzler has contributed on special teams, being on the field for nine snaps, although he hasn’t recorded any statistical contributions in that role.

Dantzler’s NFL career began when he was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the Vikings before joining the Saints.

Over the course of his NFL career, Dantzler has played in 36 games, making 27 starts. He has accumulated three interceptions, three forced fumbles, and 17 passes defensed, showcasing his skills and versatility in the secondary.
