RUMOR: NFL Insider Hints at Potential Big Trade Move for Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings might be gearing up for a significant transaction.

With the tenure of their starting quarterback, Kirk Cousins, nearing its end due to his contract’s imminent expiration, the Vikings might be in the market for a successor. Kay Adams, an NFL analyst, speculates that the Vikings could be eyeing San Francisco 49ers’ Trey Lance for a potential trade.

“How about the Vikings? This is the team that I saw pop up and I said, ‘Oh my god, I like that.’ First of all, cute connection family vibe there, that’s his hometown team. You want to send him there, there’s no rush for him to like get out there and do anything.”

A fresh start could be the catalyst Lance needs. Chosen as the 3rd pick in the 2021 NFL draft, he was earmarked as San Francisco’s future leader on the field. However, a mix of injuries and a packed roster has curtailed his time in the spotlight as other quarterbacks have filled the gap.

With the 49ers set in their quarterback line-up, Lance seems to be an excess in their current strategy, and word has it that they are open to trade discussions.
