REPORT: There’s A Major QB Flying Under The Radar & THIS Team is Keeping A Very Close Eye On Him … Match Made In Heaven??

With the NFL Draft right around the corner, all eyes are on the top quarterbacks in the draft – and for good reason. After all, this is undoubtedly one of the best quarterback drafts in recent memory.

Everyone and their mother know the top names: Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy, Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr.

However, the thing that makes this quarterback class so special is not just the star power at the top, but the overall depth of the field.

One of the names that has flown far under the radar is Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis.

Travis entered the 2023 college football season as a dark-horse Heisman Trophy candidate. Unfortunately, a broken leg suffered against North Alabama on November 18th not only cost Travis his season but also cost the Seminoles a likely spot in the CFB Playoff.

Travis has always been known for his maturity and leadership. His coaches and teammates love him. He has impressive mobility, vision and passing accuracy.

Due to his underrated skillset and overall love and commitment for the game, Travis could very well be a steal in the later rounds of the draft.

Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report stated that the New York Jets are a team to keep your eye on when it comes to Travis.

“Prior to the injury, the 23-year-old didn’t find himself among the top quarterback prospects. He has a smaller frame (6’1”, 200 lbs), middling arm strength, inconsistent processing and shaky pocket presence. But he displayed a quick release, excellent movement skills and ability to create outside of structure,” Sobleski wrote of Travis.

“He could have been a strong possibility in the third- or fourth-round range. He might find himself still waiting a little longer on draft weekend considering the injury … For a franchise with an older or uncertain quarterback situation, without the benefit of a top-five draft pick, Travis could be an intriguing developmental addition.”

Sure enough, the Jets are a team that fits the bill.

Aaron Rodgers plans on playing at least two more seasons. Travis could perhaps play the “Jordan (Love) role” and sit, learn and develop behind Rodgers.

“While Rodgers remains at the helm, the Jets shouldn’t rush into selecting a quarterback, at least not until the later rounds,” Sobleski added. “If someone like Travis is available in the mid-to-late rounds, Robert Saleh and company should definitely make the move.”

Due to his injury and concerns over his lack of size, Travis could very easily drop to day three of the draft.

If he is still on the board as we creep into the later rounds, the Jets won’t be the only team who feel the itch to snag him.

What are your thoughts on Travis as a quarterback?

What round do you think he will end up lasting to?

Are the Jets a perfect fit? … Who else should be interested???
