While the outcome of this meeting is uncertain, many believe it signals a strong possibility of Harbaugh joining the Chargers. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Chargers have identified Harbaugh as their top choice.
“He’s met with two teams. He’s met with the Chargers and he’s met with the Falcons,” Schefter said. “Now, the Chargers are a team that, to me, has identified him and I think he’s right near, if not, at the top of their list.”
However, the Chargers will need to make a compelling pitch to secure Harbaugh if they want him on board. It’s worth noting that a return to Michigan is also a possibility, as the university is likely making efforts to retain him.
