Ever since quarterback Aaron Rodgers joined the New York Jets, many people have speculated that it was only a matter of time before Gang Green traded for his old pal Davante Adams.
Had Rodgers not gotten hurt in the season opener, they may have very well done so … However, that did not end up being the case.
Perhaps they still will, but it seems like for the first time in a long time, Adams is happy in Las Vegas – thanks to the Raiders hiring Antonio Pierce as their permanent head coach.
Circling back to the Jets, Aaron Schatz of ESPN has a different name in mind when it comes to receivers. He believes Gang Green will reel in three-time Pro Bowler Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency.

“What Rodgers wants, Rodgers gets … And he wants more playmakers. So the Jets will bring in receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency after his contract with the Ravens automatically voids,” Schatz reported.
"I don't think we can entirely rule out Odell Beckham Jr [for the #Jets]. We know how much Rodgers likes him & Aaron Rodgers has a tendency of getting what he likes. So that's another guy to keep an eye out for," Rich Cimini told Connor of NY Flight Jets Talk.#TakeFlight

Beckham had planned to join the Jets in free agency last offseason before deciding to join the Baltimore Ravens.
Of course, Beckham is familiar with the New York area from his time with the Giants.

Rodgers is said to be friendly with Beckham, so the move would make sense in that regard.
However, there are concerns about just how much he has left in the tank, especially with all of the injuries he’s had over the years.
My greatest fear is that the #Jets will sign Odell Beckham to be their WR2 this offseason and just run it back with the same group otherwise.
And then Jets fans will fan-splain to me why OBJ is actually better than Mike Evans and Davante Adams and I’ll be in hell.

When it comes to wide receivers, the free agency class will include Tee Higgins, Mike Evans, Gabe Davis, Michael Pittman Jr., Calvin Ridley, and Marquise Brown.
There’s not a single player in the entire NFL that has more power than Aaron Rodgers … And that’s not a good thing.
However, that’s the bed the Jets made for themselves when they brought him in – Now they have to sleep in it.
Keep in mind, the only reason why Robert Saleh still has a job is because Rodgers wants him to.

What do you think will end up happening?
Will the Jets sign Beckham this offseason? … Should they?
Looking at the big picture, what do the Jets need to do this offseason to put themselves in the best position to contend with Rodgers next season???
