In a startling legal development, a woman has filed a lawsuit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, asserting to be his biological daughter and seeking to establish paternity and parental responsibility.

A report by the Dallas Morning News indicates that a Dallas County judge will preside over the decision regarding the necessity of the paternity test as the case progresses.

Furthermore, the woman has taken legal action against Jones for defamation, contending that she has been unfairly characterized as money-driven and opportunistic.
However, a judge ruled that Jones’ response did not constitute defamation.
Jones’ legal team has vigorously defended him, particularly regarding the issue of the paternity test.
They argued against subjecting Jones to what they deemed an invasion of privacy, citing mere “curiosity” as insufficient grounds for such measures.

Additionally, they posited that the woman in question already has a biological father, namely her mother’s husband at the time of her birth.
Disputing this claim, the woman’s attorneys pointed to court documents that allegedly confirm her biological father is not her mother’s husband.
They emphasized the clarity of these documents, stating, “in plain and apparent words” the identity of her father is distinct from her mother’s husband.
This legal saga traces back to a previous court order in 2022, wherein a judge initially mandated Jones to undergo a paternity test.
