In a potential shakeup for Monday Night Countdown, ESPN is reportedly eyeing former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce to join the cast, while former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III’s spot hangs in the balance.
According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Kelce is being strongly pursued by ESPN, among other networks, following his recent decision to retire from the NFL.

Marchand notes that Griffin’s SPOT on the show “is in jeopardy,” indicating a possible exit for the outspoken former quarterback.
The news of potential changes comes amidst interest from rival networks when it comes to the popular Kelce. CBS, NBC, and Amazon are all said to be interested in adding Kelce to their team.
Good. He sucks terribly at his job. @RGIII is awful!

Whether ESPN lands Kelce or not, many fans are encouraged by the news that the network is considering replacing Griffin who has become more and more controversial over the past year.
RG3 is absolutely terrible

In addition to RGIII’s uncertain future, Larry Fitzgerald’s part-time role on the show is also in doubt.
Marchand reports that Fitzgerald’s contract with ESPN has expired, and the network has yet to make a decision regarding his continued involvement.
ESPN has reportedly informed Fitzgerald that they will wait to see how the rest of the lineup shapes up before finalizing any decisions.
"You don't just come in and do Monday Night Countdown… I wouldn't advise him to go there because I think he's a unique voice right now and I would want to have one place where you would hear him."

While it’s true that Kelce’s appeal has only strengthened due to his brother, Travis, dating Taylor Swift, everyone knows that Jason has an outstanding personality.
He seems like a natural fit in the broadcasting world.
Whoever gets him is going to be blessed. He will thrive in this role and take their broadcast to the next level

Which network do you think will land Kelce?
Do you consider Amazon the favorite since they produced his popular documentary last year?
More importantly, do you think there’s ANY chance Kelce decides to end his retirement and make a triumphant comeback?
After all, he left on the top of his game, and you know damn well he’s going to feel the itch when we get closer to the season…
Could it happen???
Saquon Barkley is already trying to get Jason Kelce to un-retire. 🤣
