REPORT: Deion Sanders Sparks Outrage (Again) As It’s Revealed He’s Having His Sons Do His Recruiting For Him … Is He Long For The Coaching World??

Since taking the helm as head coach at Colorado, Deion Sanders has continually defied convention, from his unconventional approach on the sidelines to his unconventional recruiting strategies.

Now, a new development adds another layer to his unconventional methods: his two sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, are reportedly spearheading transfer recruiting efforts for the Buffaloes.

Both Shedeur, who plays quarterback, and Shilo, who plays safety, are currently part of their father’s team at Colorado.

Utilizing their positions within the team, each is actively engaged in recruiting transfers for their respective sides of the football.

“Defense transfers DM me … Offense transfers DM Shedeur Sanders,” Shilo posted on social media.

He added a humorous note at the end.

“This not Last Chance U,” he wrote, a reference to the popular Netflix series.

Deion Sanders, known for his bold and unorthodox approach, has not shied away from utilizing the transfer portal since assuming his role at Colorado last year.

Notably, he opted for a significant overhaul of the roster he inherited, expressing his intention to bring in players of his own choosing.

While no stranger to the portal, Deion using his sons to do his recruiting for him is an unprecedented move.

“Coach Prime” caught heat earlier this offseason when it was revealed that he doesn’t travel on the road much to recruit.

His critics called his approach lazy and entitled.

Many translated his approach to him wanting players to come to him rather than the other way around.

In response, Deion said the approach was about saving the university money rather than any sort of laziness.

Still, the tactic was extremely unorthodox to say the least.

In related news, Colorado made headlines when they lost star cornerback Cormani McClain to the transfer portal.

The former five-star prospect and one of Sanders’ notable recruiting victories, intends to find a new program and will undoubtedly be a hot name on the market.

With three years of eligibility remaining, McClain’s departure represents a significant loss for the Buffaloes.

What are your thoughts on Deion having his sons do his recruiting for him?

Do you think he’s giving them too much power in the program? … Or do you think the whole story is being overblown?

In the bigger picture, what are your thoughts on Deion?

Is he long for the coaching world???
