Dallas Cowboys superstar linebacker Micah Parsons is one of the most dominant defensive players in all of football.
Ever since his Penn State days, Parsons has drawn comparisons to the legendary Lawrence Taylor.
While those comparisons are a bit of a stretch, you can see a slight resemblance between the two when it comes to their game-wrecking abilities.
If I’m Micah Parsons, I don’t play another down on my rookie contract for the Cowboys, I’d want to get to as many contracts as possible to make as much as possible, especially if he retires early
I’m surprised he hasn’t put more on the team to get a deal done now #DallasCowboys pic.twitter.com/FSB2D7Xz5C

Parsons is hungry to help the Cowboys break through and finally get over the hump in the postseason.
Dallas’ shocking home playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers has not sat well with anyone – Parsons being at the top of that list.
After all, he was borderline invisible in the blowout loss and that fact has surely been eating away at him all offseason long.

As it turns out, Parsons has been campaigning for a larger role on America’s Team.
Appearing on The Ross Tucker Podcast, Cowboys special teams coordinator John Fassel revealed that Parsons is interested in contributing on his unit.
“You know Micah. He has lobbied me in the past to just be the primary kickoff returner,” Fassel disclosed.
“I’m like, Micah, that’s the question you got to go a little further up than me on that one. But would I love to see him back there? Absolutely, because he would be fantastic.”
“Micah has asked…”
Since two returners will be standard with the new kickoff rule could @MicahhParsons11 get a chance from Cowboys special teams coordinator John Fassel? pic.twitter.com/8OASbjSOuw

While Fassel expressed enthusiasm for the idea, he also noted the need for discussions with higher-ups, hinting at potential concerns about injury risks associated with such a role.
The last thing any Cowboy fan wants is for Parsons to suffer a serious injury while returning kicks.
LMAO HE CAN’T EVEN PLAY HIS OWN POSITION

Despite the excitement surrounding the prospect of witnessing Parsons showcase his elite athleticism in a different capacity, the likelihood of him assuming the role of a return man is not great.
However, Fassel’s acknowledgment of Parsons’ interest means the possibility will at least be explored.
What is a sack worth if there is no punt 2 to 3 plays later? What is it worth? Dugats. We had DeMarcus and our defense was no Ware to be found late in a game. They were pathetic. Shop Micah, I bet you find the offers are not so good.

Parsons has been a constant force to be reckoned with since entering the league, tallying impressive statistics including 40.5 sacks, eight pass defenses, and seven forced fumbles over his first three seasons.
Remarkably, Parsons has finished in the top-three in Defensive Player of the Year voting in every season of his young career.
The impact of Parsons on the Cowboys defense has been profound, transforming a unit that previously struggled into a formidable force.
Since his arrival, Dallas has consistently ranked among the top defenses in the league, a testament to Parsons’ influence and impact on the field.
"Micah Parsons is the best defensive player I've ever seen in my life bro. He can play anything. This *(lion) could go back to safety and play safety.

As discussions surrounding Parsons’ potential role expansion unfold, attention also shifts towards his contractual situation.
Alongside star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, Parsons is poised for a significant contract extension, with expectations of a deal surpassing the $100 million mark.
They didn’t show in playoff either what’s the big deal

What are your thoughts on Parsons’ eagerness to return kicks?
Would that be a good idea? Or is it simply just not worth the injury risk?
As far as the inevitable contract extension that’s expected to come his way – what type of deal do you think he’s deserving of?
Where do you rank him among the top defensive players in the NFL???
As a Dallas fan its beyond frustrating. My only hope is some draft day moves. And just trade Micah at this point. He fades too much later in the year
