Prominent CFB Analyst: Texas Has The “Clearest Route” To The Playoff: Do You Agree??

The Texas Longhorns are setting their sights high for the upcoming 2023 season.

With a core of young and exceptionally talented players, the Longhorns are poised to make a substantial impact on the college football scene this year.

Renowned college football analyst RJ Young expressed his confidence in Texas’ trajectory, stating: “They’ve got the cleanest and clearest route to the College Football Playoff.”

Young’s assertion, made on The Number One College Football Show, reflects the growing hype and optimism surrounding the Longhorns potential.

The Longhorns roster has seen the addition of several key players, with one name standing out prominently – Arch Manning. Needless to say, the Manning legacy carries significant weight in the football world, and Arch is no exception.

However, Quinn Ewers is expected to be Texas’ starting quarterback and he reportedly looks great at practice and possesses a determined mindset entering the season.

The Longhorns are expected to be formidable contenders. The team’s overall strength, combined with their burgeoning offensive capabilities and robust defense, positions them as a force to be reckoned with, especially considering the fact that they will for the final time be facing a Big 12 schedule.

Young went on to outline Texas football’s potential route to secure a coveted spot in the College Football Playoff.

“You get to the Big 12 Championship, you win the Big 12 Championship, you’re going to make the College Football Playoff for the first time in school history,” Young emphasized.

He further underscored the experience and strategic acumen of Head Coach Steve Sarkisian, who has a history of experience and success at Alabama and USC.

“Defensively, this is the part that is crucial, Texas feels like they can have a top 15 defense,” Young noted.
