New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas stirred up a frenzy among fans with his online actions following the team’s heartbreaking 33-28 defeat to the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
While the Saints nearly staged a 21-point comeback, the loss left a bitter taste for some, including Thomas.
Expressing his discontent with quarterback Derek Carr’s performance during the game, Thomas took to social media to air his grievances.

Thomas ended up deleting his X account after the game, leaving many to wonder just how deep the issues in New Orleans run.
Carr, who completed 17 of 22 pass attempts for 226 yards and one touchdown, suffered an injury in the fourth quarter, forcing him to exit the game.
He entered the concussion protocol, leading to Jameis Winston taking over as the replacement.

During his Monday press conference, Saints head coach Dennis Allen was asked about Thomas’ tweets criticizing Carr.
Allen revealed that he became aware of the tweets only after the game and emphasized that the matter would be handled privately.
“We’ll keep that in-house,” Allen stated. “This is a matter that is better handled behind closed doors.”
Allen acknowledged Thomas’ visible frustration and emotional display, suggesting that the receiver is upset with the team’s current direction.
The Saints, now at 5-7, face internal challenges as they navigate through a disappointing season that has been marked by more downs than ups.
