PHOTOS: Zach Wilson’s Mom & Girlfriend React In Very Entertaining Fashion To His Trade To Denver … Can Sean Payton Save His Career??

In a much-needed move for both sides, the New York Jets finally ended their disastrous Zach Wilson experiment.

Gang Green shipped the former second-overall pick to the Denver Broncos for pennies on the dollar.

Whether Wilson could potentially be saved or not remains to be seen. But one thing is for sure, he needed to get the hell out of New York.

Zach’s mother, Lisa, has never been shy about putting herself out there and speaking out in defense of her son.

Being from Utah, Lisa and the Wilson family weren’t too used to the harsh and demanding nature of northeast football fans.

Wilson was often the target of venom from angry Jets fans who viewed him as an all-time bust.

In fairness to the fan base, they were right.

Reacting to her son’s trade to Denver, Lisa took to Instagram to express her excitement for the new beggining.

She shared a photoshopped image of Wilson donning a Broncos jersey, with the caption: “Excited for a fresh new start. Let’s go!” accompanied by blue and orange heart emojis.

Further displaying her support, Lisa shared a glimpse of a heartfelt moment, stating she was having lunch “with my boy before he heads off to Denver.”

The Wilson household in Utah was not short of celebration either, with Lisa sharing a video of the residence adorned with orange and blue balloons and two new Broncos flags proudly displayed.

“Surround yourself with people [that] love you, cheer for you and want you to succeed,” she wrote alongside the jubilant video.

Zach’s father, Michael, also joined in the excitement.

Adding to the chorus of support was Wilson’s girlfriend, Nicolette Dellanno, who took to her own Instagram to share the NFL graphic of his trade, embellishing it with three orange heart emojis.

The trade marks a fresh start for both sides, as the Jets can now pivot away from their efforts to mold Wilson into their future quarterback, while Wilson himself gets the opportunity to develop within a new organization.

While it’s clear that Wilson will most likely never live up to the sky-high expectations that were origianlly set for him, he now finds himself in pretty much the best situation possible.

While Denver is expected to draft another quarterback to add to an already-packed QB room, Wilson does have the luxury of trying to grow and develop under offensive-mastermind Sean Payton.

There are much worse places to be…

The trade marks an offical end to Wilson’s nightmare tenure with the Jets.

He finishes with a 12-21 record.

He ended up throwing for 6,293 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 25 interceptions, while also contributing 498 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

As most Jets fans will tell you, those numbers don’t come close to telling the story of just how disappointing the Wilson-era was in New York.

In exchange for Wilson and a seventh-round pick, the Jets received a sixth-round pick from the Broncos.

While he does possess some legitimate arm talent, the Jets were never going to get a much better deal than that.

What are your thoughts on the trade?

Do you think Payton will somehow be able to save Wilson?

What is his cieling in the league? … Career backup? Or do you think he will end up being a starting quarterback for Denver (or somebody else) at some point down the road???
