Tim Tebow is arguably the greatest college football player of all-time.
Yes, that’s saying a lot – but many people feel it’s true.
Tebow was honored at Florida’s rivalry game against the Florida State Seminoles this past Saturday. His wife, Demi-Leigh, was there to celebrate his big night with him.
Demi-Leigh is a South African model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universe 2017 … She and Tebow were engaged in January 2019 and were married a year later in January 2020.
Tebow returned to the friendly confines of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville where he was honored as part of a prelude to his upcoming induction into the College Football Hall of Fame next month.
Demi-Leigh expressed her admiration for her husband on social media…
Posting a photo of herself wearing Tebow’s iconic #15 jersey, she wrote: “Found this jersey in our house & thought this was the perfect night to wear it! I never got to wear your number while you played, but happy to be in the Swamp to cheer you on tonight. That’s my hall of fame husband.”
Tim Tebow, 36, a two-time national champion and Heisman Trophy winner during his four seasons with the Gators under head coach Urban Meyer, was honored by the Gainesville crowd in anticipation of his Hall of Fame induction on December 5 in Las Vegas.
Reflecting on his memories of the Florida-Florida State rivalry, Tebow recalled the emotional significance of the matchup.
“Every year growing up, we would watch the game, and if we won, it was – ask my parents – arguably the best day of the year,” Tebow said.
“And if we lost, it was mortifying … I would lose perspective and it felt like the world was ending. I begged them to let me not go to church on Sunday because I couldn’t handle the FSU fans. It was always bigger than a game,” he added.
For the record, Tebow was a perfect 4-0 against the Seminoles during his Gators career…

Despite his nostalgia and the anticipation surrounding his Hall of Fame induction, Tebow couldn’t provide any magic for Florida on Saturday.
