LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne has gone viral more times than we can count.
It’s almost to the point of annoyance.. Almost.
She’s going viral once again, and this time it’s due to rumored speculation that she’s dating #1 MLB draft pick Paul Skenes.
While Dunne was busy with gymnastics and photo shoots, Skenes was busy dominating the college baseball world as the shutdown ace of LSU’s national championship team.
After winning the title, Skenes was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the top overall pick. Compared to a young Roger Clemens, Skenes is already showing what he is capable of down in the Florida Coast League.

The spark of romantic rumors between Dunne, 20, and Skenes, 21, began earlier this summer when Dunne shared a photo of herself donning a Pirates hat while in Bradenton, Florida – the same city where Skenes is currently assigned to the FCL Pirates.

Dunne’s frequent visits to Florida are attributed to her grandparents’ residence in Jensen Beach, which is conveniently located about a three-hour drive from Bradenton.

Meanwhile, Skenes is making his mark in the minor leagues. He’s one of the best pitching prospects to enter professional baseball in quite some time.
He’s already ranked the #3 overall prospect (and the top pitcher) in the minor leagues, with MLB.com estimating his potential elevation to the majors next year.
Skenes’ professional journey began with his selection as #1 overall pick, directly ahead of his LSU teammate Dylan Crews, who was chosen second by the Washington Nationals.
Skenes’ illustrious college career started at Air Force before he transferred to LSU, where he delivered a stellar season with a 12-2 record and an ultra-impressive 1.69 ERA.
He also led the NCAA with an incredible 209 strikeouts against just 20 walks in 122 2/3 innings.
In recognition of his achievements, Skenes was honored as the National Player of the Year and earned a consensus First Team All-American nod.
Last month, he secured a record-breaking rookie contract, highlighted by an astounding $9.2 million signing bonus – the largest in MLB Draft history.
While Skenes soars in the baseball world, Dunne is gearing up for her senior year at LSU, with aspirations of returning to the NCAA Championship.
