In the wake of Ohio State’s third consecutive defeat to the Michigan Wolverines, ESPN’s Paul Finebaum has expressed a belief that Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day should voluntarily step down.
Despite growing speculation about Day’s future with Ohio State, there is currently no indication that the university plans to part ways with the largely-successful coach.
“They’re kicking our ass, they stole our signs, Harbaugh is at home coaching via Twitter, you gotta helps us out, we’re trying to play a revenge game against Georgia. DO SOMETHING TO STOP THE BLEEDING!”

Speaking on the matter, Finebaum highlighted the significance of last Saturday’s defeat and suggested that it might be in Day’s best interest to seek a new coaching opportunity.
“I think he’s got a real problem,” Finebaum said. “I don’t like the path ahead … I think he’s a very good coach. But you can’t lose that game. That speaks for itself. I’d get out of there, while you can.”
Paul Finebaum is practically begging Ryan Day to leave Ohio State.
Should Day cut and run from the Buckeyes given the nonstop outrage from fans after three straight losses to Michigan?

Day, who had previously been linked to the Texas A&M coaching position, saw those rumors laid to rest after the Aggies opted to hire Duke coach Mike Elko.
The loss to Michigan leaves Ohio State with an 11-1 record for the season, and the team now awaits news of its bowl game future.
While Finebaum’s perspective adds another layer of speculation, the decision ultimately rests with Ryan Day and the Ohio State administration.

Needless to say, it’s probably a safe bet to assume Day won’t be going anywhere.
In reality, he shouldn’t want to leave, and Ohio State would be borderline foolish to fire him – at least at this point.
What are your thoughts???
