Paul Finebaum Controversially Names The “Most Obnoxious” Fanbase In All Of College Football

ESPN’s Paul Finebaum is a major voice in the college football world, and he’s pretty much seen it all.

Amidst all the drama surrounding Michigan, Finebaum blasted the attitude of the Wolverines fanbase.

Appearing on “The Matt Barrie Show,” Finebaum didn’t pull any punches.

“This is the most obnoxious fanbase in America … This is a fanbase that literally thinks the world revolves around the University of Michigan football program. You can’t judge a university by those who tweet about it, but I’m going to,” he said.

Finebaum, not one to shy away from controversy, took the opportunity to further lambast Michigan during his interview, questioning their football program’s standing in the national arena.

“Michigan has what – one and a half national championships in about 70 years? Alabama and Georgia won one while we were talking here. And they look down at everyone,” he said.

“It’s a good state school, big deal! … But its football program is really becoming just comical in terms of what it’s trying to represent out there,” he added.

Finebaum also criticized Michigan for playing what he referred to as the ‘victim card’ and their reluctance to acknowledge mistakes amidst their sign-stealing scandal.

Appearing on ESPN’s “First Take,” he continued to sing his tune.

“There is no more obnoxious group of fans than the University of Michigan fans,” he said. “They annoy everyone. And that’s why there’s so much contempt for this program right now.”

As the Wolverines declared, it’s Michigan against the world … That has never sounded truer than it does right now.

Already (arguably) the best team in the country – all the hate from the outside will only make the Wolverines even more dangerous.

What do you make of the whole Michigan situation?

Will the Wolverines end up winning the national championship???
