Ole Miss Football Coach Lane Kiffin Agrees To Contract Extension

Ole Miss football head coach Lane Kiffin, who has overseen the team’s first two 10-win regular seasons, is set to extend his contract, according to an announcement by athletic director Keith Carter.

Specific terms of the contract extension were not disclosed.

Carter expressed his excitement about the program’s unprecedented success under Kiffin’s leadership, emphasizing the bright future ahead. In just four years, Kiffin has transformed the team into a consistent winner, poised for championship contention.

Currently ranked 11th, the Rebels with a 10-2 record are gearing up to face the 10th-ranked Penn State (10-2) in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on December 30th.

Under Kiffin’s guidance, Ole Miss has secured four consecutive bowl appearances, including two New Year’s Six bowls in the last three years. Impressively, the Rebels have only lost two of their last 23 home games.

Kiffin expressed his enthusiasm for the progress made, highlighting the unique accomplishments and the unwavering commitment from the program’s leadership and supporters. With this support, Ole Miss aims to continue building on the strong foundation laid over the past four years.

Kiffin joins the legendary John Vaught as one of the few Ole Miss coaches to achieve multiple 10-win seasons in the program’s history.
