In a recent poll conducted by The Athletic, NFL players have spoken out (anonymously of course) about their experiences with various fanbases, and the results may not come as a surprise to many.
Philadelphia Eagles fans have been dubbed the “most annoying fanbase” in the league, narrowly edging out their hated rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.
The poll, which surveyed a cross-section of players from different teams, revealed that 25.3% of the players found Philadelphia fans to be the most irritating, while 24.7% pointed the finger at supporters of “America’s Team.”
“Just loud, rude, and obnoxious,” commented one player about Philadelphia’s fans.
Another player added, “They just swear they’re the biggest football gurus on earth.”

The Eagles and Cowboys claimed the top spots.
The Buffalo Bills came in third (as a listed team) with 7.5%, followed by the New York Jets with 6.8%, and the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears tied at 4.8% each.
The Cowboys and Eagles are doing more than just battling for NFC East supremacy.

Despite the less-than-glowing reviews from their NFL peers, the Eagles did find a silver lining in the survey … Approximately 4.8% of the players surveyed named Lincoln Financial Field as their favorite stadium in the league to play in.
While the Eagles may not be winning popularity contests off-the-field, they are certainly excelling on it.
Their impressive come-from-behind victory over the desperate Buffalo Bills yesterday improved them to 10-1 on the season – the best record in the league.
The poll also shed light on several other topics, including players’ favorite stadiums to play in … Arrowhead Stadium took home the title of the favorite stadium, with MetLife Stadium and FedEx Field ranking among the least favorites.
