NFL World Reacts To Patrick Mahomes’ Epic MVP Performance

Patrick Mahomes capped off another brilliant season by becoming the first player since Kurt Warner in 1999 to win league MVP and Super Bowl MVP in the same season.

At the young age of 27, he already has two Super Bowl victories, two Super Bowl MVP’s and two league MVP’s – all before entering his true prime.

Engineering the Chiefs dramatic comeback victory over the leagues top pass rush, Mahomes proved to be as clutch as ever.

His passing was precise, but if one play summed up Mahomes’ toughness and determination, it was without a doubt his 26 yard scramble down to the Eagles 17 yard line with under 3 minutes remaining in the 35-35 tie game.

Mahomes, playing on an injured ankle, sliced through the Eagles defense like a hot knife through butter, ultimately setting up Harrison Butker’s game winning 27 yard field goal.

“He’s the MVP. The MVP,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “That’s all that needs to be said. MVP.”

“M-V-Pat,” said Mahomes’ favorite target, tight end Travis Kelce. “You can’t say how much he means to this team.”

Mahomes has many years left – but if he continues on this trajectory, he will surely go down as one of the all-time greats (if not better).

Social media made sure to pay their respects to the MVP…
