With Kellen Moore now in Los Angeles with the Chargers, Dallas had a void at OC, and Jerry Jones wasted little time turning to Schottenheimer who spent this season as a consultant with the team.
Head Coach Mike McCarthy will be the new play-caller, but Schottenheimer is expected to have a significant role in Dallas’ offensive game-planning.
Cowboy fans are hard to please – and needless to say, the Schottenheimer hire didn’t exactly lead to celebrations in the street…

The bottom line is the Cowboys have issues and it won’t be Schottenheimer who makes or breaks them…

The Cowboys have been the absolute definition of mediocrity for several years now. For as much heat is on McCarthy, even more should be on quarterback Dak Prescott whose contract looks worse and worse by the day.
“America’s Team” hasn’t won the Super Bowl in 27 years and counting… Brian Schottenheimer is far from the only addition they need to make if they wish to have a chance at ending their long, painful drought.
