No one can ever accuse Aaron Rodgers of being boring…
Appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday, Rodgers said that he would soon be embarking on a four-day “darkness retreat”, which he believes will give him the clarity to decide on his football future.
“It’s going to be important to get through this week and to take my isolation retreat and just to be able to contemplate all things my future and then be able to make a decision that I think is best for me moving forward and in the highest interest of my happiness.”

“It’s just sitting in isolation, meditation, dealing with your thoughts,” Rodgers said. “It stimulates DMT, so there can be some hallucinations in there but it’s just kind of sitting in silence, which most of us never do. We rarely even turn our phone off or put the blinds down to sleep in darkness. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Rodgers’ darkness retreat will take place in a small house in an undisclosed location.
There will be absolutely no contact with anyone or anything, other than meals being dropped off for him.
Some would call this sort of retreat a chance to get in touch with yourself and your inner thoughts… Others would call it solitary confinement.
Love him or hate him, Aaron Rodgers sure is an interesting cat…
Aaron Rodgers is a genuinely good dude and a supremely talented athlete. He's also weird.

Some fans rolled their eyes and chalked this up to yet another distraction and example of Rodgers being difficult…
Continuously holding the Packers hostage. Who would want this guy? He’s not even committed in the offseason.

Even former NFL offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz took a shot – But Rodgers responded in prototypical fashion…
Be curious. Not judgmental.
We are all on our own path, and doing things like this helps me find a greater sense of peace and love for life. Love and respect to you ❤️ # https://t.co/bsWU7Dphh5

As always, some fans had Rodgers’ back…
I know anything I say about Aaron Rodgers comes off as biased, but at what point can the man just live his life?
If he thinks that 4 days in the dark will help him make the biggest decision of his life, then so be it.

At first thought, sure. I’m no Rodgers fan but if someone wants to peace out for a few days to reflect and think before making a serious decision… what’s really all that weird or wrong with that?

I just hope Aaron is able to achieve what he is seeking without getting too hangry…

Love him or hate him, there’s never a dull moment with Rodgers – and I’m here for it…
Fantasy Twitter: “Nothing can get weirder than Aaron Rodgers’ 2022 offseason: Ayahuasca in Peru, getting tattooed by a Hungarian artist and full on Nicholas Cage Con Air look. Wow. Back to normal.”
