New Details Emerge From Jordan Addison’s Shocking Arrest … What Should The NFL Do??

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested late Friday night on suspicion of driving under the influence, the California Highway Patrol confirmed Sunday evening.

Notably, Addison’s arrest comes on the heels of his teammate Khyree Jackson’s death which was reportedly caused by a drunk driver.

Addison’s incident began when the Los Angeles Communications Center alerted the CHP to a disabled vehicle blocking a lane on the Glen Anderson (105) Freeway near Los Angeles International Airport.

Responding officers found a white Rolls Royce with the driver asleep behind the wheel.

A CHP spokesperson confirmed that the driver was identified as Jordan Addison.

Addison was taken into custody around 11:36 p.m. following a DUI investigation and was released at 1:36 a.m. on Saturday.

The Vikings addressed the situation in a statement: “We are aware of Jordan Addison’s arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident.”

This is not Addison’s first run-in with the law. Last summer in Minnesota, he was cited for speeding and reckless driving after being clocked at 140 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone.

Addison claimed he was speeding due to an emergency involving his dog. He was not arrested but later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge and paid a fine.

The 22-year-old Addison was a first-round draft pick out of USC last year and had an impressive rookie season with 70 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.

As the Vikings prepare for training camp, with veterans reporting on July 23 and camp officially starting on July 27, Addison’s arrest adds an unwelcome distraction.

What are your thoughts on Addison’s arrest?

Can the NFL do anything to try and help prevent these types of situations?

Should there be harsher punishments???
