Nebraska Football Competes With Ohio State And USC For Minnesota’s Top 2025 Prospect

Nebraska football is making its bid for the top-ranked player from Minnesota in the class of 2025, Emmanuel Karmo. Karmo recently announced that he received an offer from the Cornhuskers, joining the race for his talent along with other college football powerhouses.

In a post on X, Karmo expressed his excitement, saying, “After a great talk with coach @s_kwilli32 I am blessed to say that I’ve received an offer to play @HuskerFootball. It’s a blessing, and I can’t wait to come down for a visit.”

While Nebraska is eager to secure Karmo’s commitment, they face competition from notable programs like the Ohio State Buckeyes, USC Trojans, and the Minnesota Golden Gophers, who have also extended offers to the talented prospect.

Karmo shared his childhood dream of playing for the Golden Gophers, saying, “When I was younger, I remember saying I was gonna play for them. And now I actually can.”

Looking ahead, Karmo has plans to visit other schools, including Kansas State, Ohio State, and USC during the spring. These visits will provide him with valuable insights into each program before making his decision.

Nebraska football, coming off a 5-7 season in 2023, is determined to land Karmo and inject new talent into their roster. With only four commits for the 2025 season so far, including three-star defensive lineman Tyson Terry, the Cornhuskers are actively pursuing top prospects to bolster their team.
