LSU Football Secures 4-Star Offensive Lineman Over Georgia And Tennessee

LSU football, led by head coach Brian Kelly, is on a mission to elevate its competitiveness and secure a promising future for the program. Despite having Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels as their quarterback, the Tigers fell short of a College Football Playoff push last season.

The latest development in Baton Rouge suggests that reinforcements are on the horizon. Four-star interior offensive lineman Devin Harper, hailing from Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana, from the class of 2025, has committed to LSU football. This commitment, announced via college football insider Hayes Fawcett on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), brings a 6’5″, 300-pound talent to the Tigers.

Harper’s decision to commit to LSU involved turning down offers from the Georgia Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers. Addressing offensive line concerns is crucial for LSU, as Jayden Daniels often found himself improvising plays while under pressure from unblocked defenders.

While efforts are underway to bolster the offensive line, Brian Kelly and his coaching staff are also focusing on improving the defensive side of the game. The defense experienced a setback last season after exceeding expectations in Kelly’s debut year at the helm in 2022.
