Latest Jarred Kelenic injury update will get Mariners fans hyped amid playoff push

Seattle Mariners player, Jarred Kelenic, is getting ready to start a recovery program. Reports from Daniel Kramer say he’ll soon join the Tacoma team for this.

“Jarred Kelenic is slated to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma early next week, Mariners GM Justin Hollander just said. It will be a more extended rehab, too, with DH days mixed in. Hollander added that they’re confident Kelenic will return at 100% by season’s end,” Kramer shared.

The exact date of Kelenic’s return is still a mystery. However, he’s expected to be back in action sometime this year.

Kelenic hurt his foot in July after a kick to a water container in a moment of upset. Even though he wished he hadn’t done it, the harm was already there.

The 24-year-old Kelenic had a slow start in his early baseball career but was showing great progress this year before the accident. After two tough years, in 2023, he had a good record with 11 home runs in 90 games.

There’s a lot of hope for Kelenic in the Mariners team. Many don’t realize how young he still is. With the team aiming for the playoffs, he could be a key player.

Right now, if the season wrapped up, the Mariners would be in a good position for the playoffs. They’re aiming even higher, though, hoping to top their division. They’re currently just a game behind the Texas Rangers in a close contest with Texas and the Houston Astros.
