The Pittsburgh Steelers are gearing up for the upcoming NFL season with renewed determination after narrowly missing the playoffs last year.
Despite facing a series of challenges including a slow start, injuries, and the growing pains of a rookie quarterback, the Mike Tomlin-led Steelers proved their resilience yet again, finishing the season with a 9-8 record.
Quarterback Kenny Pickett showed significant progress as the year went on. There’s a strong feeling in Pittsburgh that he has the potential to be Ben Roethlisberger 2.0.
Kay Adams of FanDuelTV is wondering why more people aren’t talking about the Steelers. Why are they seemingly being overlooked, especially considering the fact that they’re one of the largest and most popular franchises in the NFL?
She chalks it up to plain ole disrespect.
“They’re gonna be okay. The Steelers are gonna be fine. They’re going to be good, they might even be great,” Adams asserted. “This team is getting zero buzz still.”
“This is disrespectful to Mike Tomlin.. It’s crickets around Pickett!.. I’ve had enough.”

Adams highlighted the impressive performance Pickett, who demonstrated real progress last season. His poise and precision were evident as Pittsburgh made a late-season playoff push.
However, the odds appear to be stacked against the Steelers in the ultra-competitive AFC North, where three other dangerous teams reside.
However, Adams (rightfully) pointed out that under no circumstances should they be slotted behind the Cleveland Browns.
“Putting them behind Cleveland is a lack of respect for Mike Tomlin,” Adams said. “It’s disrespectful to the organization and what they do year in and year out. The AFC is going to be brutal, but I’m getting playoff vibes from the Steelers.”
Indeed, Tomlin’s track record speaks for itself. With only six playoff misses in his illustrious career, Tomlin is an eventual Hall of Famer who is hungry to build another winner.
How do you think the Steelers will do this season?
Do you agree with Kay? Will they make the playoffs?
