Justin Fields’ Family Takes OSU-Michigan Rivalry To Whole New Level

In a surprising twist to the storied Ohio State-Michigan rivalry, Jessica Fields, the younger sister of former Ohio State Buckeyes star quarterback Justin Fields, has committed to play women’s basketball at the University of Michigan.

On Sunday, Jessica Fields announced her decision to join the Wolverines, marking a rare family split in college football’s most intense rivalry.

“I am excited and blessed to announce my commitment to the University of Michigan!” Fields announced.

“I want to thank all the coaches who have put their time into recruiting me, my teammates who are always by my side, my coaches and trainers for crafting me into the player I am, and my family for being my support system through everything,” she added.

“Most importantly, I want to give the glory to God., Without Him, I am nothing and I am thankful for His continued blessings in my life.”

Justin Fields had an impressive college career at Ohio State, where he was the starting quarterback for the Buckeyes from 2019 to 2020.

In his first season, 2019, he quickly established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the nation. Fields threw for 3,273 yards, 41 touchdowns, and just 3 interceptions, leading Ohio State to the College Football Playoff semifinals.

In the shortened 2020 season, Fields continued to excel. He threw for 2,100 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions in just 8 games.

He also played a crucial role in leading Ohio State to the CFP National Championship game, although the Buckeyes lost to Alabama in the final.

Currently, Fields is trying to resurrect his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Expected to be the backup to Russell Wilson, Fields is hoping to have a chance to prove himself.

As for Jessica, what are your thoughts on her committing to the hated Michigan Wolverines???
