Joe Flacco Turned Down An Extremely Interesting Job Offer Before Browns Came Calling … Can He Take Cleveland On A Run??

Times are good in Cleveland.

Who would have thought with all the injuries and adversity that JOE FLACCO would be the guy to keep the Browns alive (and dangerous) in the AFC playoff picture?

Cleveland improved to 9-5 following their dramatic 20-17 win over the Chicago Bears yesterday … Flacco threw for 374 yards and two touchdowns (although he did have three interceptions).

Flacco, a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, had been absent from the NFL for a period of time before seizing the opportunity to sign with the AFC North contenders.

He’s been largely impressive in his return to the NFL.

However, that return came close to never happening. According to ESPN’s Ryan Clark, Flacco was offered an analyst spot on “Inside The NFL,” which he ultimately decided to turn down.

“I’ll tell you a secret. Joe Flacco actually tried out and auditioned for @insidetheNFL, which I host on Tuesday. I’m glad he didn’t take it,” Clark stated.

Flacco’s decision to forgo opportunities outside of football turned out to be a blessing for the Browns, who are undoubtedly thrilled to have him leading the team.

Flacco’s veteran experience and rocket arm have proven quite valuable in Cleveland as the Browns remain right in the thick of the AFC playoff picture.

Up next for Cleveland is a Christmas Eve clash against the Texans in Houston.

Then they have a Thursday night matchup against the New York Jets, followed by a showdown at the rival Cincinnati Bengles in the regular season finale.

What are your thoughts on Flacco?

Do you think the Browns will make the playoffs?

If they do, do you think they can make any noise with Flacco under center???
