Jalen Milroe’s Initial Thoughts On Coach Kalen DeBoer

Alabama’s quarterback, Jalen Milroe, is gearing up for the 2024 season under the guidance of new head coach Kalen DeBoer, as Nick Saban steps back. Milroe expressed his confidence in DeBoer, emphasizing the positive impact he’s already bringing to the team.

During a youth football camp in Tuscaloosa, Milroe shared his thoughts on Coach DeBoer: “He’s very personable, and he’s bringing good energy to the locker room,” Milroe stated, reflecting the enthusiasm within the team regarding their new head coach.

Milroe’s 2023 season had its ups and downs, including a benching in September, but he rebounded impressively, amassing 2,834 passing yards, 531 rushing yards, and a total of 35 touchdowns.

While Alabama’s defense may face some adjustments in the post-Saban era, the offense appears poised to maintain its excellence. Coach DeBoer previously led Washington’s offense to new heights, and his offensive schemes have proven beneficial for quarterbacks.

If Milroe and DeBoer can establish a strong rapport, there’s every reason to believe that Alabama’s offense will continue to shine in the upcoming fall season.
