Monday Night Football analyst Troy Aikman couldn’t help but address the ongoing comparison between him and rapper Jay-Z.
During last Monday’s Cowboys-Chargers game, Joe Buck pointed out Jay-Z in the crowd, playfully remarking that the rapper was “reaching for a refreshment.”
Aikman then took the opportunity to humorously acknowledge the circulating internet meme comparing his appearance to that of Jay-Z.
“Yeah, there’s a meme that’s going around, that he’s my doppelgänger, me and Jay-Z. How about that?” Aikman joked.

Buck chuckled in agreement, adding to the light-hearted banter, before smoothly transitioning to another notable spectator, LeBron James, who was also present at the game.
This wasn’t the first time Aikman had addressed the Jay-Z resemblance.
In an earlier appearance on ESPN’s “Pardon the Interruption,” Aikman had discussed the meme with guest host Pablo Torre.
“Yes. I am aware of that … A white Jay-Z,” Aikman said.
