In somewhat of a surprise, Kansas State quarterback Will Howard announced his decision to enter the transfer portal, sparking widespread speculation about his potential landing spots.
The 6-foot-5 senior leaves Kansas State as the school’s all-time leader in career passing touchdowns.
“I am eternally grateful to my family and friends for the unwavering support they have shown along my athletic and academic journey,” Howard said in a statement.
“What that being said, I am going to explore the transfer portal and evaluate all my options for next season.”

Despite Howard’s successful tenure at Kansas State, the quarterback’s decision to enter the transfer portal opens the door for many other college football programs to court him.
He’s expected to be in very high demand.
According to On3’s Pete Nakos, five schools in particular have emerged as the leading suitors for Howard … Washington, Louisville, Missouri, Kentucky, and Auburn.

Each of these programs is expected to be in the market for a new quarterback during the offseason, making Howard an attractive option.
