Georgia Expands 2024 Quarterback Lineup Amid Dylan Raiola Transfer Talk

The Georgia Bulldogs recently secured a commitment from 2024 five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, but there are concerns that he might change his commitment. To mitigate the potential risk, the Bulldogs have added another quarterback to their roster from the 2024 class.

Colter Ginn, a three-star quarterback for 2024, announced on Wednesday that he has accepted an offer to join the Bulldogs as a preferred walk-on.

Ginn expressed his decision by stating, “I have accepted the QB PWO offer from the University of Georgia. #GODAWGS Thank you to my family and coaches that had a part in my journey…”

247Sports has rated Ginn as a three-star prospect and the 97th-ranked quarterback in the country. Although he had received scholarship offers from several Group of Five schools, Georgia had not extended one to him.

While Ginn may face challenges in earning playing time as a walk-on quarterback, his path could become clearer if Dylan Raiola ultimately decides to change his commitment. There has been ongoing speculation that Raiola might switch from Georgia to Nebraska, especially considering his father Dominic Raiola’s history as a Nebraska player from 1998 to 2000, followed by a successful NFL career.

The big questions remain: Will Dylan Raiola make the flip to Nebraska, and can Colter Ginn transition from being a preferred walk-on to a scholarship player?
