FOX & PAC-12 Make Extremely Controversial Decision On Upcoming USC-Colorado Game

In a surprise move, FOX and the Pac-12 conference has announced that the highly-anticipated clash between the USC Trojans and the Colorado Buffaloes next week will kick off at the early hour of 9am PST.

A 9am local kick is almost unprecedented. Obviously, the decision has everything to do with FOX wanting the matchup featured on their “Big Noon” game of the week.

Some will say it’s another example of an east coast bias. However, even though a 9am local kick is certainly earlier than normal, the amount of eyeballs that will be on that matchup, on network television, will be a huge benefit for both programs.

Those who want to be extra angry about it can blame Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. After all, it’s Coach Prime who is drawing such massive television ratings. Of course, FOX will want to capitalize on that – and by putting the matchup at 12pm EST, they’re doing just that.

It’s safe to say that Colorado students attending the game will be pulling all-nighters, no doubt coming straight from overnight parties.

With a 9am local kickoff for such a massive game against the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, there is absolutely no time for sleep.

What do you think about FOX and the Pac-12’s decision to schedule the game so early???
