Former Texas A&M Star Recruit Commits To Lane Kiffin And Ole Miss Football

Ole Miss football received some exciting news on Sunday as highly-rated transfer portal player Walter Nolen decided to make the move from Texas A&M to Lane Kiffin’s program.

Nolen, who held the top recruit spot in 2022 according to both USA Today and ESPN, has committed to Ole Miss football, adding to the team’s defensive prowess. With two seasons of eligibility remaining, Nolen’s arrival is a significant boost for the Rebels.

In a statement to On3, Nolen expressed gratitude for his time at Texas A&M and his decision to join Ole Miss:

“This past month has been wild, but with the help of my family and closest friends, I have come to the fact that my time in College Station has come to an end. I want to thank the 12th man for taking a chance on a kid out of Memphis, TN. Thank you, coach E, for helping me grow in more ways than I ever thought. I want to thank all my brothers in the locker room; blood couldn’t make us closer. With that being said, I would like to announce I will be attending the University of Ole Miss for my last 2 years of eligibility.”

During his time at Texas A&M, Nolen played in 21 games, accumulating 66 tackles and five sacks, showcasing his defensive prowess.

As Ole Miss football gears up for a Peach Bowl showdown against Penn State, Coach Kiffin and the Rebels are thrilled to welcome Nolen, a formidable 6’5, 300-pound defensive lineman, to their roster, making for an early Christmas present for the team.
