Former NFL Head Coach LAUGHS At The Perception That Deion Sanders Has Been A Success At Colorado

The 2023 season came to a crashing halt for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes.

What began with a promising start, and arguably the greatest story in college football, became a nightmare reality for Coach Prime and the Buffs.

Finishing the season on a 6-game losing streak, Colorado didn’t even qualify for a bowl game due to their 4-8 record (and last place finish in the Pac-12 conference).

Despite his horrific record, Coach Prime still has plenty of supporters who are quick to point out the instant improvements and buzz he brought to the program.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III is one of these supporters.

“Coach Prime lifted Colorado from one win last year to four in year 1. From no hope to hope for a bright future. Whether you love him or love to hate him, you watched Deion Sanders’ team at levels never seen before for a team coming off a one-win season. Next year will be fun,” Griffin tweeted on X.

Despite the modest achievement, Griffin’s former NFL head coach, Jay Gruden, injected humor into the conversation, reflecting on his own coaching history.

“I wish four wins was the standard. I’d still be coaching,” Gruden quipped, referring to Washington’s 4-12 record during his first season as head coach in 2014.

Everybody realizes that Sanders walked into a tough situation … But it was a challenge he accepted with open arms.

However, he knows how the game goes … If you’re going to talk the talk, you better be able to walk the walk.

Needless to say, Coach Prime and his players failed to do that this season despite acting like they were the Georgia Bulldogs.

With multiple players already leaving the program, it will be very interesting to see how Sanders and the Buffs rebound in 2024.

What are your thoughts on Coach Prime and the Buffaloes?

Do you think he’s a good coach? … Or is he just all hype???
