Former Michigan Star Says Ohio State Players Have Been Illegally Paid For “20 Years”

The Michigan-Ohio State rivalry may very well be the fiercest rivalry in not just college football – but all of sports.

Despite the ongoing scandal Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines find themselves in, there’s an excellent likelihood that the November 25th showdown between the two teams will provide us with one of the biggest installments yet.

It’s a rivalry that runs extremely deep … One that has always been full of big talk and big hits.

Speaking of talk, a pair of former players sparked the latest round of animosity by lashing out over Michigan’s aforementioned sign-stealing scandal.

“I can’t listen to the BS coming from former Buckeyes who played while OSU PAID their players for 20 years,” said Jay Feely, a former NFL kicker who played the Wolverines from 1995 to 1998.

“I was in many NFL locker rooms. Buckeyes were open about how much they were paid,” he added.

Former Buckeyes defensive lineman Matt Finkes dismissed Feely’s statements as “sad,” and reiterated his stance that Michigan had engaged in cheating.

Finkes then redirected the accusations towards Michigan’s men’s basketball program, insinuating improprieties with a “#Fab5” hashtag.

“If you really wanna know about paying college athletes, just ask your head basketball coach,” Finkes said, alluding to the infamous scandal involving Chris Webber and other members of the Michigan basketball team who had accepted money from booster Ed Martin.

Of course, the world of playing college players has vastly changed since the days of Webber and the Fab 5.

Regardless, Michigan finds itself in the crosshairs of the NCAA as they continue their investigation into the alleged illegal tactics.

Taking a lot at the big picture, what do you think will end up happening to Harbaugh and Michigan???
