ESPN Reveals Their Controversial Top 10 QB Ranking For The 2024 CFB Season … What Did They Get Wrong??

The 2024 college football season may be a ways away, but it’s never too early to look ahead.

With spring practices underway across the country, there’s no better time than now for teams to start building important chemistry.

With the playoff field expanding to 12-teams, it promises to be an unprecedented season as more teams than ever will enter with hopes of making a magical national title run.

As we all know, quarterback is the most important position in all of sports – not just football.

ESPN recently released their top ten rankings of the best quarterbacks in all of college football.

Their list goes as follows…

#1. Carson Beck, Georgia Bulldogs

Leading the pack is Georgia’s Carson Beck, who seemed destined to lead the Bulldogs to their third-straight national title before a loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game derailed their season. Beck (and the Dawgs) will be back with a vengeance. He will most likely enter the season as the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.

#2. Dillon Gabriel, Oregon Ducks

Ranking right behind Beck is Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, who transferred over from Oklahoma following the 2023 season. The explosive Gabriel brings a ton of leadership and experience to Dan Lanning’s already-loaded Ducks.

#3. Quinn Ewers, Texas Longhorns

Ewers comes in third which is certainly debatable. You could make an argument that Ewers is the most talented quarterback in the country and has a chance to finish the season on top. He surprised many people with his decision to return to Austin. Clearly, he and the Longhorns have unfinished business.

#4. Jalen Milroe, Alabama Crimson Tide

Ranking fourth is Alabama’s Jalen Milroe who will look to continue his momentum under new Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer. Milroe is an explosive runner with a cannon for an arm. But It’s no secret that he has to improve his accuracy and decision-making if he’s to take Bama on a legitimate title run.

#5. Noah Fifita, Arizona Wildcats

Rounding out the top five is Arizona’s Noah Fifita, who’s stellar 2023 season has people excited for what’s to come. Despite his relatively low profile, Fifita’s a dynamic signal-caller with a ton of upside. He’s a potential dark-horse for the Heisman.

A few notable names didn’t quite crack ESPN’s top five. They have 6-10 as follows…

#6. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss Rebels

#7. Jalon Daniels, Kansas Jayhawks

#8. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes

#9. Cam Rising, Utah Utes

#10. Cameron Ward, Miami Hurricanes

What are your thoughts on ESPN’s quarterback rankings?

What did they get right and wrong? (Dart should be higher, don’t you think?)

What does your personal top ten ranking look like?

Who is your early pick to win the Heisman???
