Enough Of Brock & Lamar!!: Aaron Rodgers Gives Surprising Dark-Horse Pick For MVP Award … Do You Agree With Him??

Football is the ultimate team sport. However, individual awards still exist – and winning the NFL MVP is always quite an honor.

Everyone has an opinion on the MVP race – and the most popular names thrown out during the majority of the season include Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers, Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, until recently Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys, and off of his Christmas Night performance, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Four-time MVP winner Aaron Rodgers usually seems to have an opinion on a topic or two – and the 2023 MVP race happens to be one of them.

Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers admitted that he wouldn’t mind McCaffrey or Hill breaking the quarterback-dominated trend this year.

However, Rodgers brought up an interesting dark-horse pick for the award – Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Rodgers acknowledged that Allen’s 15 interceptions aren’t ideal – however, you can certainly make the argument that no single player in the NFL has to carry more weight on his shoulders than Allen does in Buffalo.

His 40 total touchdowns (27 passing, 13 rushing) are extremely impressive – as is the fact that he’s kept the Bills very much alive for a playoff spot … And with the way the AFC is this season, Buffalo is looking just about as dangerous as anyone.

“I know Josh has had turnovers this year, but the guy has 40 combined touchdowns this year…and the team has won four straight I believe. Three of those were against pretty damn good opponents, playoff teams,” Rodgers said of Allen.

“If they finish the last two and win out and if Miami loses their next one, the Week 18 is going to be for the division … What if Josh has eight touchdowns the last two weeks and finishes with 48 combined touchdowns? How do you not put him in the conversation?” he passionately added.

Currently, Allen ranks third in the league in passing touchdowns and fourth in rushing touchdowns, showcasing his rare versatility and the impact he has with both his arm and legs.

What are your thoughts on Allen for MVP?

There’s still plenty of football to be played, but as we stand now, does Allen deserve the award more than McCaffrey, Hill, Purdy, Jackson, etc?

Who do you think should win???
