Dodgers Star In Tears As He’s Ruled OUT For Entire Season

The Dodgers fears came true yesterday as it was confirmed that shortstop Gavin Lux did indeed suffer a torn ACL that will officially end his 2023 season.

Of course, the injury happened when Lux stumbled and fell on the basepaths on Monday.

The injury is a significant loss for the Dodgers who had high hopes for Lux this season.

Surgery is scheduled for next week and will be performed by team physician Dr. Neal ElAttrache.

There was a deep sense of sadness around Dodger camp yesterday when the news came out…

“Gavin is obviously crushed. It’s a huge blow,” said manager Dave Roberts. “My heart goes out to him. All of ours does.”

It was very emotional to see Lux get choked up as he spoke about the shocking and sad reality that his season is over before it even began.

The baseball world reacted to the depressing news…

“This was supposed to be the breakout season for Gavin Lux. He finally got the opportunity to play shortstop. He was putting everything together. Just terrible.”

“Man, we root for our own home teams and hate our rivals but you never want to see a player get injured and go out like that. Blessings to you Gavin Lux and God speed on a healthy recovery.”

We are rooting for you always Gavin we know 100% you’ll recover and crush it”

“God i feel for him. As someone who has torn there acl and meniscus multiple times. I know generally how he is feeling and its sad to see him almost breaking down.”

Gavin Lux worked his tail off & did everything this offseason to make the most of his opportunity. After talking to him a few times this spring, it was clear to me that he was the man for the job & was going to shine as the Dodgers SS. Speedy recovery,”

“Poor kid. He’s an extremely talented dude.”

“I feel terrible for Gavin! This was a big season for him. He’s a worker- he’ll be back!”

“Dodgers won’t make the playoffs this year!! Friedman’s plan goes down the drain again.”
