Crazy Bill Belichick Rumors Take Shocking Turn

Tom Brady’s recent approval as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders has sparked speculation about major changes within the team’s leadership, with rumors swirling that he may push for Bill Belichick to take over as head coach.

The move could signal a new chapter for the Raiders, whose current coach, Antonio Pierce, faces an uncertain future.

On Tuesday, Brady officially became a minority owner of the Raiders, following unanimous approval from the NFL.

His ownership stake, alongside business partner Tom Wagner, comes after an equity investment reportedly valued at $220 million, a discounted rate for the franchise, which is estimated to be worth over $7 billion.

Brady, who retired from the NFL in 2023 after a legendary career and quickly transitioned into broadcasting with FOX, now finds himself in a new role of influence within the league.

Plenty of NFL fans are not happy that Brady will continue to broadcast for FOX despite being an active owner in the league. (But that’s a whole other story.)

As for the Raiders and Brady’s potential influence in vital decision-making, Barstool’s Kirk Minihane reports that TB12 has his eyes set on reuniting with his old head coach, Bill Belichick.

“People have told me that Brady’s first move is going to be asking Bill Belichick if he’s interested in being the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders,” Minihane said on his podcast, “The Kirk Minihane Show.”

“Two sources have told me that. Two high-ups in the Patriots organization have told me that.”

Obviously, the 72-year-old Belichick has a long and storied history with Brady.

He became head coach of the New England Patriots in 2000, the same year Brady was drafted by the team. Together, they led the Patriots to six Super Bowl titles, forming the most successful coach-player duo in NFL history.

Although Brady moved on to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, where he added another Super Bowl win to his resume, Belichick remained with the Patriots until his departure at the end of the 2023 season.

He has since remained connected to the NFL, appearing regularly on the ManningCast, the alternate broadcast of Monday Night Football hosted by Peyton and Eli Manning, as well as other football projects.

Despite his broadcasting work, reports indicate that Belichick definitely wants to return to coaching next season.

While reuniting with Brady in Vegas sounds great, the fact of the matter is the two ended their initial parternship on poor terms.

Both have made their respect for each other perfectly clear, and perhaps the fences have been mended. However, it’s not known for sure just how warm and cozy the two currently are.

Again, maybe the two have buried the hatchet. They certainly want to give off that impression publicly. However, would it surprise anyone if ego/competitiveness gets in the way of Brady asking Belichick to team back up?

What are your thoughts on the report that Brady is gearing up for a run at Belichick? … Do you believe it?

Regardless, the Belichick sweepstakes will be one of the biggest storylines in the coming months.

At the end of the day, where do you think he’ll end up? … Dallas? Philly? New York (Giants)? Jacksonville? Or will it indeed be Vegas???
