Cowboys Reportedly Looking To Move Off Dak For THIS QB…

The Dallas Cowboys may be looking to move on from quarterback Dak Prescott.

According to Mike Fisher of SI.com, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys are interested in drafting Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud.

That would be quite an aggressive move filled with many hurdles and obstacles.

Stroud is widely projected to be a top five pick – and the Cowboys don’t pick until #26.

Needless to say, they would have to put together quite a large package to trade up high enough to be in position to draft Stroud.

Then there’s the reality that they are financially tied to Prescott at a huge number.

Dak will be entering year three of his four year deal with Dallas and will have a massive $49.13 million cap hit this year.

This all could be a leverage play by the Cowboys to gain an upper hand in possible restructuring talks.

After all, Prescott has proven to be nothing more than an average to above-average “B-level” quarterback – Certainly not worth the enormous contract he signed.

Jerry Jones isn’t getting any younger – If he believes Stroud is the right quarterback to finally win him the long-elusive Super Bowl he’s been craving, it’ll be hard to stop him from pulling the trigger, no matter how grave the cost.

The NFL world reacted to the rumor last night…
