Dartmouth recently paid tribute to the late Buddy Teevens, its former football head coach who passed away at the age of 66, by maintaining his tradition of shoveling the football field in snowy weather. Teevens, who coached Dartmouth for 17 years, made it a practice to personally clear the snow around the midfield insignia to ensure the program’s logo remained visible. The recent snowfall in New Hampshire covered the field in white, except for the midfield “D,” preserving Teevens’ legacy.
Ok. This made me super emotional. So, whenever it would snow (and it ALWAYS snowed ) Coach Teevens would go to the field and shovel the snow so that the logo wouldn’t be covered. He loved his alma mater and being the head football coach SO MUCH. God bless the person who shoveled. https://t.co/VM9aFoqbSe

Despite his tragic passing from injuries sustained in a bicycle crash, Dartmouth and football fans remember Teevens as the program’s winningest coach, securing five Ivy League championships. The team, with a current record of 4-4, is set to face Cornell this Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET.
