FS1’s Colin Cowherd has made a striking prediction ahead of the rapidly-approaching NFL season.
On his “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” show, Cowherd predicted that the Washington Commanders will emerge as the “surprise team” of the season and will end up making the playoffs.
“I think they use that energy and new juice to catapult. I think they’re the surprise team in the NFL,” he confidently stated.
Cowherd envisions the Commanders finishing second in the NFC East behind only the Philadelphia Eagles.
Of course, Dallas Cowboy fans won’t be too happy with that prediction, but Cowherd believes Washington is building something special with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
This bold prediction comes as the Commanders undergo significant changes, boasting a new head coach, general manager, owner, and quarterback.
The departure of former owner Dan Snyder marks a new era for the franchise, much to the delight of Commanders fans.
Dan Quinn has taken over as head coach, with Adam Peters overseeing the front office.
The team is also placing their hopes in Daniels, who was selected second overall in April’s draft, behind only Caleb Williams who went first to the Chicago Bears.
Of course, there have been others who have fallen in love with Washington over the past few years only to be disappointed.
However, a brand-new era in the franchise is upon us … Only time will tell just how good it is.
