Cowherd pointed out that an NFL telecast typically consists of approximately 18 minutes of actual football action, and Swift’s on-screen presence usually lasts for only a few seconds. He questioned why CBS, which hosts the Grammys, wouldn’t take the opportunity to cross-promote the world’s biggest pop star.
Cowherd also brought up the appearances of other celebrities, such as Jack Nicholson, Drake, and Spike Lee, at NFL games. These instances, he noted, haven’t generated the same level of controversy as Swift’s attendance.
In Cowherd’s view, it’s perplexing that while fans enthusiastically celebrate various quirks like cheese hats in Green Bay and goofy traditions in Buffalo, the brief appearance of a young, attractive, talented woman like Taylor Swift for a mere 25 seconds seems to irk some individuals.
In the end, Cowherd believes this situation speaks more about those who are bothered by it than it does about Taylor Swift herself.
