Carmelo Anthony Reveals He Got Two Offers To Continue Playing Basketball

Carmelo Anthony, a former NBA star with 10 All-Star selections in his 19-year career, announced his retirement in May. However, he recently revealed that he had received offers to continue playing basketball.

During a recent episode of his podcast, “7PM in Brooklyn,” with The Kid Mero, Anthony disclosed that he had two potential suitors for his services. He humorously mentioned the possibilities, saying, “China … The Pelicans called. That would’ve been that jersey ‘Hide that! Hide that!’ Hide that.”

Throughout his illustrious career, Carmelo Anthony had lengthy stints with the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks, and in his later years, he played for the Thunder, Rockets, Blazers, and Lakers.

Anthony retired as the ninth-leading scorer in NBA history and maintained an impressive streak of 14 consecutive seasons averaging 20 or more points per game.

Even in the later stages of his career, Carmelo’s trademark midrange jumper remained a potent weapon, and he contributed significantly to changing the perception of his career by accepting a bench role during his final season with the Lakers.

Now a future Hall of Famer, Carmelo Anthony has ventured into the business world and continues to expand his horizons in the media industry.
